ACCOUNTING, CLEANING & LAUNDRY ISSUES

ACCOUNTING
We have discovered this year a major issue with our accounting system. As a result, we are currently carrying out a thorough review of our records dating back to 2022. This means checking each supplier individually to ensure that no invoices have been paid on a client's behalf without being passed on. It is a lengthy and time-consuming process, but one that is necessary to ensure everything is accurate.

We are hoping to have a new accounting system in place from January 1st 2027.

In the meantime I sincerely apologise on behalf of the VSS Team for any inconvenience this may cause you.

ClEANING & LAUNDRY
Regarding the laundry, I'm not sure whether the team has had the opportunity to explain the situation in full. Our previous cleaning and laundry provider, whom we had worked with for nearly 20 years, became
the subject of action by the tax authorities due to tax irregularities. Our accountants were contacted directly by the authorities, and following legal advice, we had to stop working with the company immediately (just prior to Easter and the onslaught of high season. Before the authorities tried to take possession of the laundry facility, we had to collect all the stored items at very short notice and move them into temporary storage. Since then, we have been carefully sorting everything.

We will  be returning the correct laundry to the correct owners. Please bear with us.

Of course we have also had to train a completely new team of cleaners to maintain our standards, which has not been easy. As you can imagine, this has been a significant task, particularly during the busy summer season.

While our day-to-day responsibilities have understandably had to take priority at times, please be assured that we are committed to resolving this as quickly as possible. If we discover that any items are missing, we will of course take the appropriate steps to address the situation. We are also training our new laundry team to ensure the process runs smoothly going forward, although this transition will take a little time.

I hope this helps explain the circumstances. We truly value your continued support and your understanding. All our clients are very important us, and it is never our intention to cause you any frustration. Unfortunately, these have been exceptional circumstances, and we have simply had to deal with the situation as responsibly as we could.

As we now move into a more slwer pass following the tough summer season we will have time to resolve more issues on a daily basis.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions at all, or if there is anything further, we can help with, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Kind regards,

Bill Kundalia
